Secretary’s Report - Cindy Seliga submitted the minutes from the August 11th meeting. Laura Heiss motioned to approve as submitted, Jan Boland 2nd. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer advised that a full report will be given monthly. Currently, the balance at hand is approximately $40,000 ahead of bills to be paid.
President’s Report -
- President – Rob discussed the need for volunteers to assist in the various programs supported by the Booster Club. Booster Club members are encouraged to reach out to the community and other families and encourage involvement in the efforts of the Booster Club. Concession duty will be a must for every family.
- VP of Fundraising – The first working concessions occurred on August 22, 2008, for the scrimmage game. Sales were brisk. Bruce discussed the contracting of the closing of the two home stands on Friday night games. This year the concession duty work period will be split with Band Boosters. Three stands will need to be staffed, both of the home stands and the visitor stand. Band will support the concession stands from opening until just before half time. The Athletic Booster Club will support just before half time until closing.

Athletic Director’s Report – Participation in athletics this year is seeing considerable growth, particularly at the middle school.
Committee Reports:
- Membership - Laurie Sheridan reported that the Booster Club membership is now at 88 for the 2008/2009 membership year, netting $4,350.00. Laurie asked to be notified of any parent meetings.
- Program – Fall Program will be available at the first home game.
- Concessions – The Booster Club is currently seeking a concession chair and paid concession Friday night coordinator.
- Merchandise – Brenda Cheatham and Tammy Viken reported that new merchandise has been ordered and will be arriving soon.

New Business -
- After Game Meal – Laura asked for individuals to sign up for the Stephenville after game meal. Donations may be dropped off at Railhead’s banquet room.
- Funds Request – Coach Buchanan motioned that $2995 be spent for an upgrade to the Digital Sports Video software that is used for digital editing equipment. This will be available for middle school and high school use. Cost is inclusive of training. Jen Boland 2nd. Motion passed.
- Paid concessions workers – Bruce Frantz motioned that two persons be hired to close the concessions stands. The payment will be $1000.00 for the 5 home games per person. Penny Barrett 2nd. Motion passed.
- Team Representatives - Team representatives for Football Freshman A and B, Sophomore, and JV are still needed. Contact Jen Boland at

Team Reports -
- Golf – Parent meeting is August 28th.
- Tennis – Tennis has been very successful in their first meets, beating Granbury 24-3. This year's tennis team includes 7 USTA Champs or Super Champs.
- Volleyball – Swept Joshua
- Cross Country – This year there are 45 total runners with 14 Varsity and 31 JV. First meet is August 30th.
- Football – Varsity was very successful in the Burleson scrimmage. This week's Varsity game is in Stephenville at 7 pm Saturday.
The next meeting date will be September 1st, 2008, at 7pm in the Distance Learning Center.
