Approval of minutes as posted passed on unanimous vote. Treasurer’s Report: Treasurers report was presented with the following information: November 16 balance | $5,716.14 | November 17-30 Deposits(7) | $20,655.80 | Balance after deposits | $26,371.90 | November 17-30 checks written (13) | $6,290.50 | Balance as of November 30, 2009 | $20,081.40 |
Treasurer’s Report was approved as presented and passed on unanimous vote. President’s Report: The State Championship Softball Team submitted a thank you letter to the Booster Club giving recognizing as the Booster Club as a Silver level donor and giving thanks for the donation to the team monument. VP Fundraising Report: Aledo hosted a 3-A playoff game between Graham and Bridgeport. Swim team did a great job staffing the concession stands. VP Communications Report: The meeting with Mr. Daniel was very positive regarding the implementation of an endowment to further the Booster Club Scholarship program. A fundraising development plan will be formulated in the upcoming weeks to determine the fundraising activities. Joe Breshears is reviewing different upgrades and content ideas for potential added benefit to the Booster Club website. Under consideration are photo galleries and small video captures. VP Team Relations Report: Football locker room decorations are Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. A spirit send off for the football team will occur on Saturday morning at 10:30. A “Meet the Bearcats” for Girls and Boys Basketball will be held on Wednesday, December 2. Donna may be contacted for Varsity signs for all sports. Athletic Director’s Report: Coach Buchanan discussed the importance of the third six-week grades. Committee Reports: Membership – Currently there are 166 memberships. Membership breakdown is 97 AHS, 39 AMS and 30 at both AHS/AMS. Membership forms will be available at “Meet the Bearcats” and the soccer parent meeting. Program – None. Merchandise – Merchandise for the next games will be Orange. Long sleeved, short sleeved and hoodies will be available. Be sure to stop by Sonic Wednesday on the way to “Meet the Bearcats” and purchase one. Middle School – No report.
Old Business: None. New Business: None. Team Reports – AMS: Team Reports – AHS: Basketball (Girls) – Played in Decatur and won. Played Joshua on Tuesday, going to double OT for the win. Basketball (Boys) – Current record is 1-2. Preparing for play in the Joshua tournament. Football – Playing Everman at Burleson on Saturday at 2pm. Aledo is home team. Tickets will be on sale check the Aledo ISD website for times and locations. Pre sale tickets provide a cost savings particularly on student tickets. Feedback from the Hereford game emphasized outstanding sportsmanship. Cheer – No report. Golf – On November 9, the golf teams competed in the Mansfield Invitational, which was the last tournament for the fall. The girls placed 1st of 12 teams. Tennis – Next event for Tennis is January 15, 2010. Swim – Swimcats next meet is a Dual-meet in Cleburne on December 3.
