Aledo Athletic Booster Club Meeting27th October 2008
Present: Doug Adams, Judy Ates, Penny Barrett, Jen Boland, Coach Buchanan, Brenda Cheatham, Gary Collinsworth, Lori Cook, Debbie Davis, Clarence Ellis, Bruce Frantz, Norman Gough, Lorraine Grillo, Jimmy Hasley, Laura Heiss, Tom Koontz, Rob Lowe, Shawn Moke, Janet O’Doherty, Barbara Russell, Cynthia Sadler, Cynthia Seliga, Judy Wallace, Mike Williams, and Robbie Williams.
Secretary’s Report - Cindy Seliga submitted and motioned for approval of the minutes from the October 20th meeting as posted on the website. Mike Williams 2nd. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report - A formal report for October will be submitted at the beginning of November.
President’s Report -

- VP of Fundraising - No Report
- VP of Communications - No Report
- VP of Team Relations - Jen Boland reminded everyone that Tuesday is locker room decoration night. Donations are being accepted. Post game meal will take place after the Mineral Wells game. Donations may be dropped off at Railhead.
Athletic Director’s Report - No Report
Committee Reports:
- Membership - Basketball is working towards 100% participation in Booster Club.
- Program - No report
- Concessions - Assistance is still needed in the concession stands for the November 7th game.
- Merchandise - Ladycat shirts are available. Sales at the last home game were $1400.00.

Team Reports -
- Basketball - No report
- Cheer - No report
- Golf - No report
- Tennis - 17 players will be attending Regionals for tennis.
- Volleyball - 13-0 in district. Playoffs will begin next week.
- Cross Country - District meet on the 31st in Azle
- Swim - Participated in a fun Halloween meet and won the costume parade. Next meet November 14th. Then to the Cougar Classic on the 15th.
- Football -
- 7th grade teams all beat Acton and are undefeated.
- 8th grade A and C teams beat Acton and B team tied.
- Freshman Black beat Springtown 41-8.
- Freshman Orange beat Springtown 50-12.
- Sophomores beat Everman 22-6 and are undefeated.
- JV beat Springtown 28-7 and is undefeated8-0.
- Varsity beat Springtown 63-7 and is 8-0.
- Overall Aledo Football has a record of 76-3.
The next meeting date will be November 3rd, 2008 at 7pm in the Distance Learning Center.
