Secretary’s Report - Cindy Seliga submitted the minutes from the September 15th meeting as posted on the website. Laurie Sheridan motioned for approval. Mike Williams 2nd. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report - No report
President’s Report -
- President - No report
- VP Fundraising - Volunteers are still needed for concession duty Friday October 3rd.
- VP Communications - No report
- VP Team Relations - Jen Boland may be contacted for information related to donations and decorations. Contact number is 817-825-8327.
Athletic Director’s Report - Coach Buchanan reported that UIL visited the campus for testing.
Committee Reports:
- Membership - Laurie Sheridan reported that the Booster Club membership is now at 140 for the 2008/2009 membership year.
- Merchandise - Merchandise sales are going well.
Old Business - None
New Business - Coach Buchanan submitted a request for $700 to support the Cross Country Team's participation in the Islander meet in Corpus Christi. Mike Williams motioned to approve request. Laurie Sheridan 2nd. Motion passed.
Team Reports -
- Golf - Pecan Valley tournament results: Overall 14th out of 49 teams. Individual places 8th and 31st.
- Tennis - Undefeated at 7-0. Varsity has won 27 straight matches.
- Volleyball - District matches began September 16th. Aledo beat Birdville and beat Azle.
- Cross Country - Ash Creek Park results: Varsity boys 7th and Varsity girls 3rd. Top individual place 1st.
- Swim - Swimcats won their first meet.
- Football -
- 7th grade A, B & C won
- 8th grade B & C won
- Sophomores beat Saginaw 27-16
- Next week Freshman & Varsity @ Brewer; JV @ Home, and Sophomores will play @ Northwestern.
The next meeting date will be September 29th, 2008 at 7pm in the Distance Learning Center.
