Aledo Athletic Booster Club Meeting29 September 2008

Secretary’s Report - Rob Lowe presented the minutes from the September 22nd meeting as posted on the website. Jen Boland motioned to approve as posted. Penny Barrett 2nd. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report - Craig Whisnand reported that deposits were made that included membership, merchandise and program receipts totaling $927.00. A full report will be presented next meeting.
President’s Report -
- President - Rob advised that the Homecoming parade will occur on Monday October 6th.
- VP of Fundraising - Volunteer staffing for this week is adequate, however, volunteers are still needed for October 10th.
- VP Communications - No report
- VP Team Relations - Jen Boland identified the need for assistance with Homecoming preparations. This includes donations and decorations for the parade. Please contact Jen at 817-825-8327 with any assistance.
Athletic Director’s Report - No Report
Committee Reports:
- Membership - Laurie Sheridan reported that the Booster Club membership is now at 145 for the 2008/2009 membership year.
- Merchandise - Merchandise sales will be held on Friday night. Winter merchandise is now available. Volunteer help during the game continues to be needed. A thank you was extended to Becky Law for assisting with the organization of volunteers.
- Program - Volunteers are needed to organize and produce the Winter Sports Program. Sports that are included in the Winter Program are Basketball, Soccer, Swim, and Power lifting. Laura Heiss will provide the necessary information to produce the program. Please contact Laura for more information at 817-846-2534.
- Concessions - Volunteers are needed to support concessions during the Azle game. Contact concessions at

Team Reports -
- Golf - No report.
- Tennis - Ranked 18th in state. Varsity record 8-0. JV is also undefeated.
- Volleyball - Continuing to post wins.
- Cross Country - No report.
- Swim - Posted another win in recent meet.
- Football - All teams posting wins.
Monday October 6th is the Homecoming parade.
The next meeting will be October 13th, 2008 at 7 pm in the Distance Learning Center.
