Aledo Athletic Booster Club MinutesJuly 9, 2007
Present – Gretchen Gaskill, Laurie Sheridan, Brenda Cheatham, Tim Buchanan, Rebekah Bryant, Penny Barrett, Glenna Loftin, DeAnn Jones
Secretary – Correct minutes from last meeting to state that the money needed for banners was $40 EACH. There are 10 banners which totals $400. This expenditure was previously approved by the board.
This was a short meeting for board members to discuss concessions and the fall sports program.
There was a discussion on the closing of the concessions and the difficulty in getting people to commit. Also, the board members (mostly senior parents) do not want to have to perform this duty and miss the football games. Rebekah Bryant made a motion to pay someone $50 per home game to close the concessions. Penny Barrett seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Coach Buchanan reminded us that the Texas High School Coaches All-Star football game will be at TCU Amon Carter Stadium on July 31st. Michael Wilcoxon will be playing.
Monday, August 20th will be a mandatory parent’s meeting for fall sports.
The next board meeting will be August 6, 2007 at 7pm in the field house.
